More than 135,000 visitors attended this years APAS show, billed by the organizers as “the largest food and beverages event in the Americas and the largest supermarket trade show in the world”. This year’s event, unsurprisingly, carried a strong ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) theme as producers, retailers and the whole value chain seek to address consumer, financial and regulatory demands for improved sustainability along the food chain.
