Presentation by Laura Locatelli, Manager Business Development Sustainability, EMEA, DSM Animal Nutrition and Health – Precision Services

Copenhagen, Denmark, 10 – 11 May 2023

Over 240 delegates across the food and beverage supply chain, from ingredient suppliers and producers to food retailers, regulators and academia met for two intensive days of presentations, debate, discussion and networking, at Agri-Food & Climate Circle 2023. DSM, a special sponsor of the event and together with the Sustell™ team, contributed enthusiastically to the lively debates and discussions on the need to make tangible progress in improving the sustainability of food and beverages.

Among the presentations and contributions by the Sustell™ team, Laura Locatelli, Manager Business Development Sustainability, EMEA, DSM Animal Nutrition and Health – Precision Services, presented “Using data to produce accurate environmental measurements, credibly and transparently” as part of the session on ‘Documenting Green Initiatives’. “Across the full value chain and amongst all participants, there was a sense of urgency to act now and to act together to accelerate progress towards a more sustainable food and beverage sector.” said Laura. “

“And this is where Sustell™ and in particular, the Intelligence Platform, has a vital role to play for all sectors, be they feed manufacturers, farm integrators, meat/dairy/egg processors, retailers as well as financial institutions and investors. By accurately measuring the complete environmental footprint – a total of 19 impact categories and not only carbon – of their products (meat, eggs, milk and derivates) using primary data, Sustell™ provides validated and actionable data allowing producers to meet current and future consumer preferences and regulatory standards.” concluded Laura.

Supported by Charlotte Valliere, Sustainability LCA Expert, DSM ANH, the team were also on site to present two posters which can be viewed by clicking below:
